My Bio
Previously serving as Head of Meeting Innovation at Meeting Professionals International, Lori was responsible for education and event content strategy, execution, and production for MPI’s global live and virtual event portfolio. She also delivered MPI Academy content to increase membership value and revenue streams through key delivery channels, including live events, chapters, industry meetings, and events and digital platforms.
Lori Pugh, M.S. MEM, CMP, CMM, CED, is a dynamic leader, consultant, and trainer with 18 years of expertise in the meetings and events industry. As the CEO and Founder of Woven Path Consulting, Lori has a proven track record of success in designing and executing high-impact strategies for corporate, non-profit, social, and association sectors. With a passion for strategic planning, stakeholder management, and content creation, Lori is recognized as an industry leader and an advocate for the advancement of meeting and event professionals.
Previously serving as Head of Meeting Innovation at Meeting Professionals International, Lori was responsible for education and event content strategy, execution, and production for MPI’s global live and virtual event portfolio. She also delivered MPI Academy content to increase membership value and revenue streams through key delivery channels, including live events, chapters, industry meetings, and events and digital platforms.
Prior to her time at MPI, Lori spent 6 years at Jacksonville’s PRI Productions as both an event producer and manager of the Event Producer Department, managing events with partners such as THE PLAYERS Championship, Gator Bowl Association, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. She also held positions as Special Events Manager for the AAA Five-Diamond resort, Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, and Events Manager for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Lori holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Advertising from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in Meeting and Event Management from San Diego State University. She has also earned multiple certifications, including Certified Event Designer (Level 1) from Event Design Collective, Certificate in Meeting Management and Certified Meeting Professional from the Events Industry Council, Event Leadership Strategist Certificate, Event Marketing Certificate, Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate, Meeting and Events at Sea Certificate, and Women in Leadership Certificate from Meeting Professionals International.
Lori has received numerous accolades for her contributions to the industry, including being honored as one of Eventex’s Top 100 Most Influential People in the Event Industry in 2022. She was also recognized as a MeetingsNet 2021 Changemaker and one of Conventions Magazine’s 22 Millennials to Watch in 2016. In addition, she served as an anchor for MPI’s Global Meetings Industry Day Broadcast from 2019-2021.
